A 14-year-old girl who was fired from voicing "Dora the Explorer" after she reached puberty has withdrawn her lawsuit against Nickelodeon, MTV Networks and Viacom, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

According to the report, John Balestriere, the attorney for former Dora voice Caitlin Sanchez, said her multimillion-dollar lawsuit against the producers is over. He was quoted as saying, "After discussions, the lawsuit was withdrawn" and declining to go into further detail.

Sanchez sued Nickelodeon in October, claiming she was forced to sign an "unconscionable" contract, and was given just 22 minutes to sign her deal without an experienced lawyer or lose the job.

Sanchez also claimed that reps from the network had promised her substantial compensation from merchandising and residuals, but later cut her out and underpaid her for her work.

"After discussion, the suit has been withdrawn," David Bittler, a spokesperson for Nickelodeon, told THR. "We have always felt, and continue to feel, that Caitlin is a very talented performer. Our intention was always that Caitlin complete the episodes on which she worked and we are pleased that she has agreed to do so.”

  1. The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
