Sinclair, Mediacom Come to Terms on Retransmission Consent

Dec 23, 2010  •  Post A Comment

A two-year retransmission consent agreement has been reached between Sinclair Broadcast Group and Mediacom Communications, reports Multichannel News.

The deal ensures carriage for 22 stations in 16 markets, the story says. The agreement means that the companies will avoid what has proved in the past to be contentious negotiations, the story notes.

In 2007 Sinclair pulled its stations from Mediacom for several weeks, the article says.
