A soap opera star was the subject of an angry tweet by a sitcom star who apparently felt spurned when the soap star backed out of a cameo on the sitcom, Deadline.com reports.
When Eric Braeden, star of the CBS soap opera "The Young & the Restless," allegedly opted not to appear on "How I Met Your Mother" as Robin’s father, Neil Patrick Harris was ticked off, the story reports. Harris said on Twitter, "Eric Braeden is a D-Bag. He agreed to a cameo as Robin’s dad, then last night he bailed, saying the part wasn’t ‘substantial’ enough."
In March 2008, Braeden appeared on the CBS sitcom as Robin’s dad, so this would have been a return engagement. Harris tweeted that Ray Wise, of "Twin Peaks" fame, was hired in Braeden’s stead.
No word yet from Braeden or CBS about their take on the story.
