ABC Slates Missing-Person Drama for Summer Run

ABC has picked up a missing-person drama for a run next summer, reports Deadline.com.

The show is “Missing,” from writer Greg Poirier and producers Grant Scharbo and Gina Matthews. It focuses on a mom who decides to investigate her son’s disappearance after he goes missing during a trip to Italy, the story notes. The mom happens to also be a former CIA agent who is determined to find her son alive, the article adds.

Steve Shill, who won an Emmy for his directing work on "Dexter," is set to direct multiple episodes of the series, the story notes. The drama is produced by ABC Studios and Matthews and Scharbo’s Little Engine Productions.

  1. Jack Lemon and Sissy Spacek made this move 30 years ago. Except it was in Chile and it was her husband instead of her son. But same title. Very good movie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084335/
