The Queen of Soul, who is known to value her privacy, has been reluctant to talk about her recent health problems, but the one thing she did say in her latest interview is that the issue has been resolved, JET magazine reported.
Aretha Franklin refused to directly discuss reports that she has pancreatic cancer. “I am not going to even deal with that,” she told the magazine. “I don’t have to talk about my health with anybody other than my doctors. The problem has been resolved.”
The singer added: “I know my fans are concerned. Let them know I am feeling great and coming along.”
Franklin advised people to go to a doctor if they experience something out of the ordinary. She said she remembers thinking to herself, “I know there is a problem, but these tests are showing nothing.” and that prompted her to go to a series of doctors for additional tests.
