Polygamist Family Featured in TLC’s ‘Sister Wives’ Moves Out of State

Under investigation by legal authorities in Utah, the stars of TLC’s reality show "Sister Wives," about the polygamist family of Kody Brown, have moved to Nevada, reports The Salt Lake Tribune.

Kody, his wives, Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn, and their 16 children claimed that they moved out of their Lehi home looking for better job opportunities in Nevada, as opposed to the potential legal ramifications of a polygamy lifestyle.

The Browns’ attorney, Jonathan Turley, confirmed the move. TLC has said it would follow the Browns’ move south and will incorporate the relocation into the show.

Utah authorities began investigating allegations of bigamy against the family in August 2010, after learning that the family would be appearing on the reality show, the story reports.

  1. What is there to investigate. He openly talks about it on the show and actually married another wife on the show. Why wasn’t he arrested the day the show premiered..
Utah is still a backwards state.
