The actor who played Lex Luthor on "Smallville" has received a blind script commitment from Fox in a joint deal with 20th Century Fox TV, reports Deadline.com.

Michael Rosenbaum will bring back his role as Luthor in "Smallville’s” finale in May, the story notes.

The actor has been working on writing for the past few years, and a year ago set up the comedy "Saved by Zeroes" at Syfy. The project was created and written by Rosenbaum, who was slated to star in the story about two friends who were former actors on a science-fiction show, the story notes.
