HBO has announced that it will give another season to a drama that has been lackluster in the ratings but has earned ongoing praise from critics, according to the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker blog.

The show is "Treme," the post-Katrina drama from David Simon and Eric Overmyer. It has been renewed for a third season.

The show chronicles a New Orleans neighborhood as it rebuilds after the effects of Hurricane Katrina.
