One of the stars of "Sex and the City" has been cast in the sequel to the television miniseries "PIllars of the Earth," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Cynthia Nixon, who played Miranda on the HBO comedy, joins Oscar nominees Miranda Richardson and Peter Firth in "World Without End.”
The eight-hour medieval period drama will be directed by Michael Caton-Jones of "Rob Roy," and is based on Ken Follett’s bestseller of the same title, the article adds. The producing team includes Ridley Scott, Tony Scott and John Ryan.
