Former reality TV star Jon Gosselin is delivering some advice for his ex-wife through an interview with RumorFix.com, telling Kate Gosselin: "Reality TV is not a career."

TLC recently announced the cancellation of “Kate Plus 8,” which reportedly left the show’s star saddened and worried about her future.

Jon Gosselin, who doesn’t speak to his former wife, urged her to "Get back to a normal life — a simple life. Provide for your family," RumorFix.com reports.

Gosselin said he has given up on television and is enjoying working as a computer support engineer. He added that he likes being out of the spotlight.

“I spend time with my kids — spend time on the weekends. I spend time with the girlfriend I’ve had for over a year now. And enjoy a normal lifestyle," he noted.
