Tuesday Night TV: Heavyweight Season Premieres and Some Key Series Debuts

TV’s big week of fall rollouts continues tonight with some heavyweight shows returning for new seasons along with a couple of launches of new shows, TVLine reports.

Among the highlights tonight:

At 8 p.m. CBS’s wildly successful procedural “NCIS” kicks off its ninth season, followed at 9 p.m. by the season 3 kickoff of its spinoff “NCIS: Los Angeles.”

Also at 8 p.m., “Glee” rolls out its new season on Fox, while “The Biggest Loser” cranks it up again on NBC.

Up against “NCIS: Los Angeles” at 9 p.m. is the series premiere of Fox’s “New Girl,” starring Zooey Deschanel. The season 2 opener of “Raising Hope” follows at 9:30.

Season 2 of “Body of Proof” gets under way at 10 p.m. on ABC, with this season expected to be more personal than season 1. CBS counters with the series premiere of Poppy Montgomery’s “Unforgettable.”
