ABC has found its “Beauty” for "Beauty and the Beast." The role in the new drama pilot will be the first U.S. acting job for a young Irish actress, Ruth Bradley, Deadline.com reports.

Bradley will play Grace, an embattled princess, who has an unlikely connection with Shiro, a bodyguard for hire who is something of a mysterious beast. Scottish singer-actor Darius Campbell is playing Shiro.

Bradley has appeared in TV series before, including “Primeval” and “Love/Hate,” and in the feature “In Her Skin.”

Directing the pilot is Yves Simoneau for ABC Studios. Jon Steinberg penned the script.

  1. What’s with all the Disney princess shows/movies lately?

  2. This series has nothing to do with Disney’s version of “Beauty & the Beast”. It’s a remake / reboot of the 80′s television series that starred Ron Perlman and Linda Hamilton.
