A second actor from TNT’s “Men of a Certain Age” has been cast in a broadcast network pilot, Deadline.com reports. NBC’s comedy pilot "Table for Three" has cast Scott Bakula in the lead role, according to the report.
Bakula will play a dentist and father who becomes engaged to his daughter’s high-school classmate, now 29, who used to be the school’s mean girl, the piece notes.
The role comes after Bakula ended a two-season run starring in "Men of a Certain Age." He’s the second of that program’s three stars to be cast in a broadcast pilot, with Andre Braugher tapped for the ABC project "Last Resort," the piece adds.
