After reporting a satirical article published on the comedy section of The Huffington Post as news, MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts issued a correction, reports TVNewser.com.

The satirical article said that Apple and Microsoft organized a joint press conference urging the National Organization for Marriage to boycott them, as the group is doing with Starbucks, the story notes.

The article quoted fabricated representatives for Apple and Microsoft, with one from the latter saying, "So what gives? … What about us? We’ve even got a rainbow in our logo. Boycott us, National Organization for Marriage! Now!”

Roberts said on his morning program on Thursday, "Upon closer inspection, at the end of the article it says it was satirical. We take issues of equality very seriously, not as satire. It was my error," according to the piece.
