An anchor on Bloomberg TV’s "Street Smart" has left the network, reports TVNewser. A spokesperson for Bloomberg confirmed the move by Lisa Murphy.
The spokesperson told the website: “Given some of the recent changes in Lisa’s personal life and the recent changes here at Bloomberg, we mutually decided this would be an appropriate time to part ways. We wish Lisa all the best.”
The spokesperson added that Murphy’s departure is not related to Bloomberg’s recent staff cuts as the channel shifts to a digital newsroom. Bloomberg cut 30 positions last month as part of that shift, the story notes.
Murphy joined Bloomberg in October 2010 after working at New York’s local Fox channel. Filling in for Murphy on "Street Smart" will be a series of Bloomberg anchors who will work with Trish Regan and Adam Johnson. "Street Smart" airs Monday-Friday from 3-5 p.m. ET.
