Fox came out on top on another night when shows on all four major broadcast networks hit series lows in the Nielsen overnights for Thursday, TVbytheNumbers.com reports.

Fox’s “American Idol” matched its series low for a results show with a 3.9 average rating in the key demo of adults 18-49, while the new Kiefer Sutherland series “Touch” continued its erosion, slipping 9% from a week ago to a series-low 2.1.

For prime time as a whole, Fox’s 3.0 in 18-49 was still easily good enough to win the night, topping ABC’s 2.2, CBS’s 1.8, Univision’s 1.6 and NBC’s 1.4. Fox also claimed the top spot in total viewers with 11.0 million, ahead of CBS (8.4 million), ABC (8.0 million), Univision (3.8 million) and NBC (3.2 million).

ABC’s “Missing” got in on the series-low trend, slipping one-tenth of a ratings point from last week’s series low to a 1.3 rating in 18-49. “Grey’s Anatomy” managed to beat the trend, rising 10% to a 3.2, while “Scandal” also rose a bit, up one-tenth to a 2.1.

NBC saw “Awake” fall one-tenth of a point to a new series low of 0.8 in 18-49, while “Community” matched its series low with a 1.3. “30 Rock” ticked up slightly to a 1.5, while “The Office” matched last week’s series low with a 2.2 and “Parks & Recreation” was even with its previousl original with a 1.8.

CBS aired mostly repeats, but its one original, “Rules of Engagement,” fell 19% from last week, equaling its series low with a 2.2 in 18-49.
