An NBC program that debuted in October is already moving to its fourth time period as the show continues to search for viewers. The program is "Rock Center with Brian Williams," which is moving to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, from the 10 p.m. slot it has held for five weeks, TVNewser reports.
"The show has largely failed to move the ratings needle since its debut," the story points out. "The highest ratings for ‘Rock Center’ were on Jan. 23, with 7.13 million viewers. But that was a GOP debate in Florida, which carried the ‘Rock Center’ title."
In its second week in its 10 p.m. time slot on March 14, the show drew 2.61 million viewers, its lowest numbers since its debut, the piece says. By comparison, Williams’ "Nightly News" averaged 9.15 million viewers for the first quarter of this year, and the program airs at a time when fewer people are watching TV, the article notes.
