In a first for the Razzie Awards, one movie swept every category, the Philadelphia Daily News reports. The first movie to pull off that dubious achievement is “Jack and Jill,” Adam Sandler’s 2011 cross-dressing comedy.
The Razzies — formally the Golden Raspberry Awards — were presented on April Fool’s Day. The awards have been “honoring” the worst movies and screen performances for 32 years.
Sandler, an alumnus of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” won for both worst actor and worst actress for his performance as Jack and his twin sister Jill. The movie also was named worst film of 2011 and pulled in seven other Razzies, including worst supporting actor for Al Pacino, worst supporting actress for David Spade and worst director for Dennis Dugan.
Sandler and Dugan were also acknowledged for their collaboration on “Just Go With It.”
