"Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman is working on another project for AMC, based on his latest graphic novel, "Thief of Thieves," reports TheWrap.com.
AMC said Kirkman and "Walking Dead" producers David Alpert and Chic Eglee will adapt the book, which is about a thief who wants to get out of the business so he can reunite with his family. He decides to only steal from other thieves, the piece notes.
The comic book version debuted Feb. 8 and sold out the same day, with the third issue being released this week, the story says.
"Much like ‘The Walking Dead’ brought horror to television in a unique and groundbreaking way, I feel ‘Thief of Thieves’ can do the same thing for heist stories, showing the humanity of all the characters, including the criminals," Kirkman said, according to the article.
