CBS News has announced that a former Bloomberg TV anchor and CNBC correspondent is joining the network as a correspondent, B&C reports.
Margaret Brennan will start at CBS News in July, the story says. She is slated to mainly cover the State Department, but as a reporter based in Washington, she will handle other assignments as well.
Brennan has been the anchor for "In Business with Margaret Brennan," a weekday show on Bloomberg that broadcasts live from the New York Stock Exchange. On the show, she covered political, economic, financial and consumer news affecting the global marketplace.
She was a general assignment correspondent at CNBC before joining Bloomberg, the report notes.
In what was described as a mutual decision between Brennan and the network, Brennan left Bloomberg TV in April after almost three years, as previously reported.
