So You Think You Can Repeat and Get Good Ratings? Not So

Wednesday’s prime-time ratings were effectively uncontested, with ABC and NBC in all-reruns and CBS rolling out just one fresh program — the low-rated “Dogs in the City.” That left Fox to take it home with a two-hour “So You Think You Can Dance,” and Fox coasted to an easy win for the night, based on Nielsen overnights.

TVbytheNumbers.com reports that Fox averaged a 2.4 rating for prime time in the key 18-49 demo, well ahead of CBS (1.2 average), Univision (1.2), ABC (1.0) and NBC (0.9). It was closer in total viewers, but Fox led with 6.5 million to CBS’s 5.8 million, NBC’s 3.8 million, Univision’s 3.2 million and ABC’s 3.2 million.

“So You Think You Can Dance” averaged a 2.4 rating in 18-49 for Fox, off three-tenths of a ratings point from a week ago.

CBS’s “Dogs in the City” pulled in a feeble 0.9 average in viewers 18-49, down four-tenths from last week.
