Time Warner Cable and Hearst Television have agreed to a retransmission consent deal that will end a blackout that started July 10, reports B&C.

The Hearst TV stations pulled their signals from Time Warner Cable at midnight on July 10, with the affected stations including KITV-TV in Honolulu and WCVB-TV in Boston.

"We thank our customers for their patience and their willingness to stick with us through another unnecessary broadcaster blackout," Time Warner Cable said in a statement.

Hearst TV CEO David Barrett said the company regretted the inconvenience viewers experienced, but added, "This process has been an important step to insure the ongoing vitality of our local TV service in communities across the country."
