A science-fiction series that is set to wrap up its run on broadcast television may live on as a feature film, Deadline.com reports. The series is Fox’s “Fringe,” which is set to premiere its fifth and final season later this year.

“The film is very possible down the line,” said John Noble, who plays scientist Walter Bishop on the show.

His fellow cast member Joshua Jackson added, “The show will live on in some form or another,” according to the story.

Both spoke at Comic-Con, where hundreds of fans held up print-outs of white tulips, referring to an episode of the show in which the flower represented forgiveness, the piece notes.

"Beyond the actor’s speculation and fond hopes, not a lot was revealed in where things were going in season five or down the line," according to the piece.

The fifth season debuts Sept. 28.
