Madonna fans were furious at the singer after a special concert appearance Thursday night in Paris, where Madonna performed for about 45 minutes — apparently not enough for the audience, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
After Madonna left the stage at l’Olympia concert hall, “fans remained in their seats booing and yelling insults like ‘salope,’ the French word for ‘slut,’” the story reports.
Tickets for the special appearance were initially available only to members of her fan club, meaning the concert, which was aired live on YouTube, was attended mainly by her biggest fans.
The story reports: “The supplementary concert was added to the singer’s tour just last week and was sold out after just a few hours, with Material Girl devotees paying from 80 to more than 280 euros for the limited seats. Hundreds of fans gathered outside several hours before the show to fill the Olympia’s 2,700 seats and many slept on the streets overnight from Wednesday to Thursday.”
After the show ended earlier than expected, fans could be heard chanting “remboursez! remboursez!,” which translates to “We want our money back.”
