Why Wayne Brady Says He Would ‘Gladly Slap the Sh*t Out of Bill Maher’

Wayne Brady, the affable host of CBS’s "Let’s Make A Deal," didn’t pull any punches during an interview that became racially charged when the topic turned to Bill Maher, The Huffington Post reports.

Brady vented his anger in response to references by the host of HBO’s "Real Time with Bill Maher” in which Maher likened President Obama to Brady, the story reports.

Brady, who was a guest on Aisha Tyler’s podcast "Girl on Guy," took offense at the inference that Brady and the president aren’t black enough. "That means it’s a diss to Obama to be called me because he [Maher] wants a brother brother," Brady said.

Brady summed up his anger at Maher, saying: “You mean to slam the leader of the free world with my name because I’m not the aggressive black man … let’s go.”

Brady referred at one point to Maher’s reputed preference for black women, saying: "Just because you f*ck black hookers, just because you had that particular black experience … I have to stop myself from getting into it … because I realize the thing is that if I had gone on his show, or even doing it online, I’m not going to win. Because as soon as you back off, he still has his platform to say whatever he wants to."

But Brady cautioned Maher against assuming anyone will take his insults quietly. “If Bill Maher has his perception of what’s black wrapped up, I would gladly slap the shit out of Bill Maher in the middle of the street,” Brady said. He added, however, that such action would probably lead to legal trouble.

“It’s not worth it for me,” Brady noted, “but the black man part of me would be so satisfied to slap the shit out of him in front of Coco and Ebony and Fox, the three ladies of the night that he has hired."

  1. This podcast was released more than two months ago. I guess I’m not the only listener who’s way behind on my iPod.

  2. Podcasts are an underrated medium, and I say not that not just because I’m on one.

  3. I would gladly watch somebody, anybody slap the sh*t out of Bill Maher. That man irritates me in ways that Dennis Miller can only aspire to. Thus, I enjoy ignoring him.
