BBC America Renews Drama Series

BBC America has renewed its first original scripted series for a second season, reports TheWrap.com. The program, "Copper," was renewed before its first-season finale, which is scheduled to air Oct. 21 at 10 p.m., the story notes.

Since debuting in August, the period drama has drawn more than 1 million total viewers each week. The series stars Tom Weston-Jones as a detective working in 1864 New York City.
