Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron has a Viking drama in development at ABC, TheWrap.com reports. The project, "The Clan," is set in medieval Scotland, when Highland clans fought each other and fended off Viking invaders, the story says.
Theron’s Denver and Delilah production company is executive producing, along with ABC Studios. Terry George, the director of "Hotel Rwanda," will write and direct, as well as executive produce, the piece adds.
Theron, who won an Oscar for “Monster” in 2004, also has an updated version of the Hatfields and McCoys feud in the works at NBC.
Didn’t Kevin Costner just win a bunch of awards for the Hatfields and McCoys?
