Golden Globes to Reunite Two ‘SNL’ Alums as Emcees

The Golden Globes have tapped two former “Saturday Night Live” stars to emcee the next awards ceremony, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker.

The job will reunite Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who previously worked together on "Saturday Night Live" and who both went on to star in NBC comedies — Fey on “30 Rock” and Poehler on “Parks and Recreation.”

“Tina and Amy have a proven chemistry and comedic timing from their many years together on ‘SNL’ to their successful co-starring roles in ‘Baby Mama,’" said Paul Telegdy, president of alternative and late-night programming, NBC Entertainment. He added that getting both to sign on for the awards show "is a major coup."

The 70th annual Golden Globes are scheduled for Jan. 13.
