The BET Hip-Hop Awards were suspended during Saturday’s taping of the event after a fight broke out between Def Jam artists Rick Ross and Young Jeezy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Atlanta Police Department said no arrests were made and no shots were fired, contradicting reports on Twitter, the story notes. BET blamed the incident on the "misjudgment of select attendees."

The men’s entourages reportedly engaged in an exchange of words that escalated to pushing and shoving, the story notes. The confrontation apparently started backstage before spilling into the parking lot.

Ross and Jeezy, former collaborators, reportedly have been feuding for a few years.

Rapper Machine Gun Kelly tweeted that he was maced during the incident.

The show was put on hold at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center, which was locked down, the story adds. The awards show is set to air Oct. 9.
