Paula Abdul, who was a judge on "American Idol" for a number of years, and who joined Simon Cowell as a judge on the first season of his "X Factor," has another judging gig lined up.

This time, however, it’s for one night only — on a high-profile ABC competition show.

Abdul has been hired to be a guest judge on ABC’s popular "Dancing with the Stars," according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed. 

Abdul will appear on the show’s panel during its Oct. 15 performance show. "I’ve been sneaking into the show for years, and now I get to be a guest judge," Abdul said. "It’s a marriage made in dancing heaven."
