The New Jersey town of Seaside Heights, home base for the hit MTV series “Jersey Shore,” was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy, although the house shared by cast members on the reality show is still standing, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed.

The Funtown Pier was underwater, with more than 50 feet of attractions collapsed from the storm, the piece notes. There was no word on whether the Shore Store, where Snooki and other cast members worked, survived the hurricane, the piece adds.

"Sandy destroyed Seaside — our second home," Snooki said in a statement to MTV News. "It’s devastating to see our boardwalk and favorite spots ruined. My prayers go out to everyone affected by the storm."
