Lifetime has wrapped up what turned out to be a long search for the lead actress for its upcoming biopic “The Anna Nicole Story.” Deadline.com reports that the role has gone to "Private Practice" star Agnes Bruckner.

"The Anna Nicole Story" is based on the life of Vicky Lynn Hogan, who grew up in a small Texas town but later transformed herself into a Marilyn Monroe-like pinup, the story notes.

The project is executive produced by Craig Zadan, Neil Meron and Judith Verno, written by John Rice and Joe Batteer, and produced by Sony Pictures TV and Zadan and Meron’s Storyline Entertainment.

Bruckner will appear soon in the feature “The Baytown Outlaws,” along with Billy Bob Thornton and Eva Longoria.
