Steve Carell is executive producing a comedy project for Fox, with a reporter on the "Daily Show" taking up writing chores on the project and possibly starring in it, reports The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed.
"The Daily Show" correspondent Jason Jones is working with Carell and director Chris Weitz on the project, which tracks a single guy who has to take care of his sister’s kids when she’s called back for active duty, the story says.
Carell will executive produce through his Carousel TV studio, along with Weitz, Carousel executive Thom Hinkle and Depth of Field executive Andrew Miano, the story adds.
