An hourlong action drama led by one of the stars of "Rocky IV" is headed for Tribune stations in the fall of 2013, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed.

"Rescue 3,” featuring “Rocky IV’s” Dolph Lundgren, has received a two-year order from Tribune. Emmett/Furla Films will co-finance the 20-episode season with Envision Entertainment, the story says.

The drama will focus on an elite task force of lifeguards, firefighters and Coast Guard officials as they deal with rescues that require all three agencies, the piece notes. Lundgren will play Capt. John Mathews, who leads a unit in the task force.

"We are very happy that first-run scripted programming is back in syndication. ‘Rescue 3’ will definitely be a success for our stations," said Sean Compton, Tribune’s president of programming and entertainment.
