An actor known for his film roles won’t be moving to TV as soon as expected, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed. Brendan Fraser is parting ways with TNT’s "Legends" amid creative differences with showrunner Howard Gordon, the piece reports.

Fraser was slated to play undercover operative Martin Odum, who has a talent for transforming himself into different people. The split is being described as amicable, according to the story.

"Legends" producer Fox 21 hinted Fraser might work on another TV project. "While this particular project may not have been the right fit, we are excited to develop cable properties with him that will showcase his amazing talent," Fox 21 President Bert Salke said in a statement.

Fraser is in talks for a development deal with Fox 21, the story adds.

As previously reported, “Legends” was set to be the first major scripted TV series role for Fraser. The project is from "Homeland" executive producer Gordon.
