Fox News Host Under Fire for Remarks About Female Colleagues

A Fox News host is coming under fire for comments about female colleagues on the network, after he described them as "Victoria’s Secret" models who "went to college," reports PRNewser.com.

Brian Kilmeade made the statement on his radio show, when he gave Fox News anchor Alisyn Camerota what the article calls "a rather sexist compliment."

With Camerota making an appearance on Kilmeade’s show, a caller commented: "Well you and all the women of Fox, I don’t know who was the scout that got you guys, but they rock." Camerota laughed off the comment, but then Kilmeade chimed in.

"It was actually, we go into the Victoria’s Secret catalog and we said, ‘Can any of these people talk?’ And they all could and they all went to college," Kilmeade said.

According to the piece, it’s not the first time Kilmeade has made offensive comments about women. In June, he caused "Fox and Friends" co-host Gretchen Carlson to walk off the set when he said, "Women are everywhere. … It’s out of control," the piece notes.

"We’re rather disappointed that Alisyn Camerota didn’t have an equally outraged reaction to the implication that talent scouts discovered her splayed half-naked in a lingerie catalog — and that the small matter of whether she was educated or could even speak was only an afterthought," the article says. "Instead, she simply laughed uncomfortably and told Kilmeade in a playful tone that he was ‘crazy.’"

  1. Is it not completely and utterly obvious that Kilmeade was making a joke? Maybe a bad joke, and maybe even a clumsy joke. But come on…
This BS of taking offense at every little joke is pathetic and only serves to divide us from one another and inhibit any type of speech. If the position of women in society is considered so precarious that they can’t handle this sort of joke, then they really haven’t come so far after all.
This is nonsense and makes EVERYONE involved in it look silly and trivial.

  2. That was a joke? I thought Kilmeade was giving a valid explanation of how they bought women on board FNC. Works for me.

  3. Oh yes, him — the “Life of [idiot] Brian” and other folktales about the Goon Sqaud that occupy “News Department chairs” on the Fox Network during weekday mornings — but PLEASE, be CLEAR — That clown Brian is NOT a “news” anchor (even if one invokes that term to describe the reduced status today of “News Anchors”).

  4. To talk about women as not only beautiful but intelligent as well was probably started by the less beautiful and/or intelligent.

  5. since when does giving a compliment draw fire? it’s the stupid uneducated women that got their panties in a bunch over stupidness. women get no attention and complain. they got compliment and complain. no wonder divorce rate is 50% in this country.

  6. Wow Eddie. You have issues!

  7. I could have sworn the statement was made as a fact. They are beautiful, they did go to college, but I know quite a few beautiful people that are dumb as bricks but have a degree. NONE of them qualify as journalists or news anchors but pretty talking heads that just do what they are told. The men of Fox also neatly fit this description.
