Here’s a throwback to the days when "Laverne & Shirley" was spun off from "Happy Days," which was itself a spinoff of an episode of "Love, American Style."
A spinoff of CBS’s "NCIS: Los Angeles" is in the works, with the new program slated to be introduced in a two-part episode of "NCIS: LA" later this season, reports Deadline.com.
"NCIS: LA" is itself a spinoff of the original "NCIS." And NCIS, in turn, was a spinoff of "JAG."
The new spinoff will track a mobile team of agents as they travel the country solving crimes and are forced to live and work together, the story adds. In its fourth season, "NCIS: LA" has drawn solid ratings and receives one of the highest off-network syndication license fees for a drama, the story adds.
The untitled spinoff will be written and executive produced by "NCIS" and "NCIS: LA" executive producer Shane Brennan, and produced by CBS TV Studios.
NCIS itself is a spinoff of JAG.
Thanks, Christine. You’re absolutely right. We’d forgotten that. We’ve updated the story and the headline — it’s even better now!
How about “NCIS: USA”
