Oprah Winfrey’s OWN cable channel today launched HuffPost OWN, a web section on The Huffington Post’s website, OWN and Huffington Post announced.

The site is designed to provide “practical advice and ideas to help users find motivation, inspiration and fulfillment,” the companies announced.

“HuffPost OWN will include selections from this year’s list of Oprah’s Favorite Things from O, The Oprah Magazine’s Holiday O List, featured in the December issue, one of the most popular and recognized traditions of the Oprah Winfrey brand,” the announcement says. “The site will also exclusively feature Favorite Things trivia, a video montage of the best Favorite Things moments from ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ and an inside look at celebrity gifts that Oprah added to her Favorite short list.”

Said Arianna Huffington, president and editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post Media Group: "Oprah was about engagement and authenticity long before engagement and authenticity ruled the web. And since those qualities are deeply embedded in the DNA of both OWN and HuffPost, I’m delighted that we’ll be working together to enlarge and deepen the conversation on living our best lives, as Oprah puts it.”

Winfrey added: “I am delighted to join the conversation online at The Huffington Post. We’ll be sharing some of the very best from OWN — life lessons and soul shifting moments as well as expert advice from some of today’s most inspirational thought leaders — all designed to help you have a happier, more fulfilled life.”
