The Sundance Channel has projects on its 2013-14 development slate from "Boardwalk Empire" actor Steve Buscemi and "This American Life" host Ira Glass, as well as from Sundance Institute founder Robert Redford, reports TheWrap.com.

Buscemi’s project is "Behind the Sun," which tracks a family that discovers its only child has a rare allergy to the sun. Dylan Gary of "Tell Me You Love Me" is writing the project.

Redford will produce "Valentines," based on a novel by Olaf Olaffsson. It follows a successful New York attorney and his three daughters, whose lives aren’t all they seem, the story notes.

Glass is working with his "This American Life" colleague Alissa Shipp to produce "T," about a transgendered male. The project will track Terrence as he adjusts to his current life and his previous identity as Thora, a lesbian at Mount Holyoke College, the story says.

  1. I’m confused. Is he just going to have a rare sun allergy, or is he going to be a vampire or something weird like that. Either way, I don’t know how interested I am. The first sounds depressing and the latter sounds too much like all the others out there right now :/
