Fox News Channel has signed one of its veteran anchors to a new contract, TVNewser.com reports. Under the new, multiyear deal, morning anchor Martha MacCallum will stay on as co-anchor of "America’s Newsroom" from 9-11 a.m. with Bill Hemmer.

MacCallum joined the network in 2004, anchoring "Fox News Live" and "The Live Desk" before moving to "America’s Newsroom."

In a statement, Fox News CEO Roger Ailes said: “Martha brings unique enthusiasm and talent to delivering the news and connects incredibly well with our viewers. We look forward to her continuing to play a valuable role in the network’s success.”

MacCallum, who was at CNBC before moving to Fox News, has been a part of the channel’s coverage of the 2004, 2008 and 2012 elections, Hurricane Katrina and other top stories.

  1. Plus she holds her own on Bill O’Reilly’s quizzes! Beautiful, intelligent, and a great sense of humor.

  2. Martha does a beautiful job with the news. She does not speak fast and has excellent diction. Her private life is her own. Please keep her going as her show is very good. Beautiful woman who dresses with taste. Hooray for you Martha
