ABC is moving ahead with a project based on a Disneyland theme park ride, EW.com’s Inside TV reports. The network gave a pilot order to "Big Thunder," based on Disneyland’s Big Thunder Mountain, the story reports.
The logline says, "When a brilliant, late 19th century New York doctor and his family are given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to relocate to a frontier mining town run by a powerful, but mysterious tycoon, they quickly realize that not everything in Big Thunder is as it seems."
Jason Fuchs of "Ice Age: Continental Drift" will write the pilot, while Chris Morgan of "The Troop" will executive produce.
