In an odd twist based on the Producers Guild of America’s decision to follow the same schedule as the Primetime Emmys — even though the PGAs play out six months later — a show that hasn’t been on the air with original episodes in a year and a half is back in the spotlight.

Deadline.com reports that HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is among the comedy nominees, competing with NBC’s “30 Rock,” CBS’s “The Big Bang Theory,” FX’s “Louie” and ABC’s “Modern Family.”

The drama series category consists entirely of familiar names to anyone who follows TV awards: HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” AMC’s “Breaking Bad,” PBS’s “Downton Abbey,” Showtime’s “Homeland” and AMC’s “Mad Men.”

In the long-form TV category, which encompasses both movies of the week and miniseries, the contenders are History’s “Hatfields & McCoys,” PBS’s “Sherlock,” HBO’s “Game Change,” FX’s “American Horror Story” and PBS’s “The Dust Bowl.”
