One of the stars of the CBS police procedural drama "Criminal Minds" was arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, reports TMZ.com.

Thomas Gibson, who plays Aaron Hotchner on the series, was reportedly driving in downtown Los Angeles at about 1 a.m. when he tried to drive through a part of down that had been blocked off for a half marathon, the story notes.

The actor was stopped and told he couldn’t drive through, but he allegedly continued to drive through the area. He was eventually stopped by police, and reportedly refused to take a breathalyzer test, at which point he was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI, the story notes.

Gibson is also known for his work on CBS’s “Chicago Hope” and ABC’s “Dharma & Greg.”
