An Oscar-winning actor — who has also won two Golden Globe Awards — will host "Saturday Night Live" for the first time on Feb. 16, 2013, reports The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed blog.
The actor is Christoph Waltz, who just won a Golden Globe for his role as bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz in Quentin Tarantino’s "Django Unchained." Waltz is also up for the supporting actor Oscar for the role. He previously won both the Academy Award and Golden Globe for playing a German SS officer in World War II in Tarantino’s 2009 movie "Inglourious Basterds."
The THR article adds: "Joining the actor is Southern band Alabama Shakes, also making its first ‘SNL’ appearance. The band, which released its debut album ‘Boys & Girls’ last April, is up for three Grammy Awards, including best new artist."
