ABC’s "Modern Family" has hired a comedy writer who worked for three years on "Community," according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed.

Megan Ganz, who announced her move on Reddit, wrote six full episodes for the NBC cult comedy, including season two’s "Cooperative Calligraphy," the story says.

"Recently, I was offered a job writing for ‘Modern Family,’ and although it’s unclear what will happen with ‘Community’ for the fifth season (or the sixth season, or the movie), I’ve decided to take this new position," she wrote.
