Plans for New Syndie Talk Show Get Flayed

A planned syndicated daytime talk show has been scrapped, reports the New York Post. The show was to be hosted by TV chef Bobby Flay and Food Network colleague Giada De Laurentiis.

The two foodie stars were in the early stages of developing a daily talk show that would have been similar to "Live with Kelly and Michael," the story says.

CBS Television Distribution was involved, but the project was shelved after a presentation reel was shot. A full pilot wasn’t taped, the story adds.

Flay hosts five Food Network shows and hoped to break out beyond his TV chef role. De Laurentiis is the granddaughter of film producer Dino De Laurentiis.
