Showtime has scrapped plans for a spinoff of "Californication" that would have been built around Maggie Grace’s character Faith, reports Deadline.com.

The network had an option to create a spinoff about Faith, a former Catholic school girl who becomes a groupie for various bands. Even though she likes sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll, Faith is still religious, the story notes. Her character will appear in a major story line in the show’s upcoming sixth season.
