An actor who just finished an arc on Fox’s “New Girl” has been cast in the Hugh Grant role in the NBC adaptation of the movie “About A Boy,“ according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The actor is David Walton, who previously starred on NBC’s short-lived “Bent.”
“’Parenthood’s’ Jason Katims will pen the pilot adaptation of Nick Hornby’s novel and the film. The single-camera comedy follows the relationship between a bachelor man-child and the young boy who moves in next door with his crazy, single mother,” THR reports. “Katims will executive produce the Universal Television effort alongside Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Jane Rosenthal and Robert De Niro, with Jon Favreau on board to direct the pilot.”
