A classic animated kids show is getting a reboot, reports Deadline.com. An order for 26 half-hour episodes has been placed in the U.K. for a new show based on the 1960s puppet series “Thunderbirds,” the piece reports.

The new show, "Thunderbirds Are Go!," will feature the five Tracy brothers as they return to pursue their global rescues, the story reports. The original show, which debuted in 1965, influenced feature films and inspired "South Park" creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s "Team America" movie.

The show is being made for the U.K.’s ITV and CITV, while ITVSGE will sell worldwide rights to the new show, the story says. It’s set to roll out in the U.K. in 2015.

Gerry Anderson, who created the original show along with “Supercar” and other puppet-oriented children’s shows that flourished for a period of time starting in the late 1960s, died in December, as previously reported.
