Steve Carell, who was a prime-time fixture during the golden years of NBC’s “The Office,” is returning to prime time — but in a much different role. Carell has scheduled a guest appearance on the History reality show "Pawn Stars," reports EW.com’s Inside TV.

The actor will be featured shopping at the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas, where he ends up negotiating with Rick over an item he wants to buy, the piece reports. Carell’s appearance will air sometime this spring.

Carell has a new movie, “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone,” set to open in theaters March 15.

The report adds: “Carell, who along with his daughter is a ‘Pawn Stars’ fan, also filmed a promotional tie-in spot for the Vegas-shot ‘Burt Wonderstone’ that will unspool during ‘Pawn Stars’‘ March 11 episode: In the integrated ad, Rick needs help assessing the value of a magician costume so he calls in an “expert,” who is revealed to be Carell.”
